The Finance Director Americas will be responsible for:

• Leadership of all financial operations for the Americas region, including Accounting, Tax, Accounts Payable, Rent payment, Accounts Receivable and Banking for the region.
• Lead the tax planning and compliance efforts, working closely with external tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements
• Management of local company secretarial compliance activities
• Management of insurance requirements of the region in conjunction with the global team
• Managing the financial reporting for the Americas region. This includes:
• monthly financial reporting (Country P&Ls, Store related profit reporting, etc.)
• budgeting & forecasting – feeding into Group forecast
• 3 year financial plans
• Finance Support of Americas Retail team in Sales and Wage forecasting and reporting
• Partnering with the regional Leasing team on new store and lease renewal analysis.
• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and sign off
• Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of team
• Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs
• Driving process improvement
• Involvement in ad-hoc projects as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience in finance roles in medium to large global organisations
• Strong accounting and tax compliance background
• Excellent financial modelling skills and experience
• A strong and flexible commercial focus
• A capability and commitment to develop a winning operational team via effective leadership
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Hiring of appropriate team aligning to the cultural aspirations of the business.
• Must have a data focus driving and developing appropriate K.P.I’s
• A capacity and desire to support peers in the wider team
• The ability to absorb leading edge technology developments and execute in a manner that delivers lasting efficiency gains

Skills, knowledge and personal qualities required:

• Excel – Advanced level
• Experience in providing quality insights to non-Finance team members to drive business performance
• Strong financial & management accounting skills and experience
• Ability to cope with fast pace and flexibility to prioritise effectively
• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Retail Experience Desirable
