Job Description

We are searching for a motivated Finance Controller who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. With minimal supervision and substantial latitude for independent judgement and discretion, the Finance Controller oversees all aspects of accounting, including accounts receivable management, collections, data entry, cash processing, payroll processing, recording transactions, and assisting in fact-checking. This person should be thorough, accurate, and honest with bookkeeping skills.


Additional Job Responsibilities

· Financial Management

o Oversee and manage the accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

o Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

o Develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts

· Financial Reporting

o Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

o Ensure that financial statements comply with regulatory and accounting standards.

o Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

· Internal Controls

o Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and procedures to ensure integrity and accuracy.

o Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

· Cost Management

o Monitor and manage the organization's expenditures to ensure alignment with budgets and strategic goals.

o Identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.

· Strategic Planning

o Provide financial insights and support to assist in strategic decision-making.

o Participate in strategic planning and business development initiatives.

· Compliance

o Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international financial regulations and standards.

o Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices.

· Team Leadership

o Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

o Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives.

o Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's/MBA preferred).

· Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial management position or a similar role.

· Preferred skills/knowledge:

o Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly desirable.

o Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.

o Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

o Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

o Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

o Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required. QuickBooks, Salesforce, Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, and Paylocity/PR Software. Minimum 1 years’ experience with database systems preferred.

· Travel: Minimal travel required.
