Finance Associate

A distinguished international law firm, highly regarded for its comprehensive expertise in financial services is currently seeking a Finance Associate to join their team in New York. The firm has a strong presence in major global financial hubs, providing top-tier legal counsel to a diverse range of clients.

Position Overview:

The Finance Associate will support the firm's clients in a variety of complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate finance. The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior associates, contributing to the firm's commitment to delivering exceptional legal services.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in structuring, negotiating, and executing financial transactions, including debt and equity financings.
• Draft and review transactional documents, including loan agreements, security documents, and related contracts.
• Conduct due diligence and analyse financial statements to support transaction negotiations.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial goals and provide tailored legal advice.
• Manage closing processes, including coordinating with all parties involved and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Research and stay updated on relevant financial regulations and industry trends.
• Support partners and senior associates in complex financial litigation matters as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years PQE with significant experience in finance law, ideally within a top-tier law firm.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, banking, and securities law.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Admitted to practice law in New York.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
