About Your Team

We are at an exciting stage at Medplace. We are a company that wins together, so on the Operations team we often wear multiple hats to ensure the right resources are in the right place to accelerate growth without sacrificing quality. Areas of responsibility in this role will vary as the business needs - they will routinely include work in finance and in people operations but may also include projects supporting company operations, marketing, sales operations, clinical operations, and customer success. These opportunities will change and evolve as the company develops, so an adaptable and passionate individual who loves the challenge of learning new things will thrive in this position. This is a unique opportunity to refine operational skills, level-up technical skills, and leave a long-lasting imprint on how Medplace functions operationally.  


Responsibilities

• Managing accounts receivable including billing schedule management, invoice processing, and deferred revenue recognition.

• Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.

• Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll compliance, federal and multi-state.

• Managing accounts payable including all vendor management, expense accounting, record management, reports, reimbursements, and account reconciliation. 

• Maintaining data repositories and corresponding dashboards with great accuracy and an eye for constant process improvement.

• Work with accounting team members on monthly, quarterly, and annual company reports and analyses, including preparing the metrics for board meetings.

• Managing complete payroll and compliance records, responsibilities, and reporting; federal and multi-state. 

• Participate in various projects to support company-wide operations and to help the Marketing, Sales Ops, Clinical Ops, and Customer Success teams, as needed. 

• Represent the Medplace brand and values by giving an excellent experience in every customer interaction as well as to each prospective, new, and established team member. 

• Manage or assist with managing the processes for sourcing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members, as needed.

Skills and Competencies:

• 3+ years of accounting, finance, human resources, and/or operations experience

• Proficient with QuickBooks, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

• Nice to have: experience with Gusto, Brex, and bill.com 

• Nice to have: experience with financial modeling

• Nice to have: experience with task management systems like ClickUp or others 

• Empathetic to others and good humored (we like to have fun and not take ourselves too seriously) 

• Proactive and independent – must be eager to drive best practices including automation and continuous process improvement 

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills 

• Ability to communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change while maintaining a strong attention to detail

• Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced, sometimes-ambiguous setting

• Proficient in balancing communication to be clear, accurate, and professional while still being friendly, warm, and down to earth
