Field Technician

Converse Consultants, an Environmental Consulting and Geotechnical Engineering firm, is seeking a Field Technician/Staff Scientist to perform material testing and inspection services.

Candidate should have:

• A strong industry specific scientific and/or civil engineering background to work on soil/concrete/asphalt related construction projects, but we will train the right candidates.

Field work duties will include, but are not limited to: soil compaction testing (nuclear density gauge), concrete sampling (ACI Grade I), asphalt testing (nuclear density gauge), geotechnical borehole logging, groundwater sampling, Phase I site walks, soil and concrete laboratory testing, etc.

Office work duties will include, but are not limited to: updating tables, generating figures, draft report writing, geotechnical and monitoring well boring logs, daily field logs, draft proposals, some project management and client interaction, etc.

Must have own vehicle, valid driver’s license, and good driving record to qualify with company insurance carrier.
