Position Details: Field Engineer

Location : New Iberia, LA (*20 miles SE of Lafayette, LA)
•
Compensation: $36.15 per/hour - $68.80 per/hour depending on experience + Overtime and 14.5% hourly increase when Offshore and a $45 per/day Per Diem when physically on an Onshore Project. This position also comes with a $100 phone allowance. Average W-2 $94K - $125K. Relocation assistance provided.

Schedule: The onshore / offshore rotation will be project dependent. The offshore rotation can range from 7 days to 21 days, with rest in between, but there is not a set schedule as every project assignment is different.
Position Description:
Serve as Field Engineer working in the Service Department for land/offshore. Responsible for execution of tasks as assigned by the Lead Service Technician, Service Supervisor, Project Manager, or other Management. Is operationally qualified, verified, and authorized as required for specific tasks. May lead limited scope projects in the absence of a Lead Service Technician or Superior or during a shift with prior approval from and under the direction of the Lead Service Technician or Superior. All work shall be performed in a safe, professional, and productive manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•
Perform field services within capacity as directed and in accordance with specific project work plan, procedures, and/or standard operating procedures.
•
Report to Lead Service Technicians, Service Supervisors when working in the field.
•
Report to Project Manager and Business Group Manager when not working in the field.
•
Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
•
Write or participate in writing JSA’s for job task assigned.
•
Learn all field services work and equipment in order to gain skills/knowledge.
•
Competency or working towards competency in Scopes of Work.
•
Increase knowledge and training on product lines and services.
•
Participation and Compliance with HSE and Quality Management System.
•
Follow current work-hours policy for both shop and field.
•
Comply with all company policies (Safety, quality, general, SOP’s, etc.).
•
Available 24-hour call (except for scheduled vacation).
•
Able to perform demanding physical labor in hot/cold environments and offshore.
•
Valid Class ‘D’ Driver’s License or greater.
•
Drive to and from job site locations.
•
Participate in training.
•
Monitor environment for unsafe conditions.
•
Write Standard Operating Procedures
•
Create training documentation.
•
Generate drawings for projects (Including API 14C compliance)
•
Perform calculations as needed on jobs.
•
Assist Project Manager in job planning and operation.
•
Other Duties Assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
•
Four-year accredited engineering degree.
OR
•
EIT (ENGINEER IN TRAINING - The EIT License and Certification is a professional designation you receive after passing the NCEES FE exam (Fundamentals of Engineering exam) and completing a degree from an ABET-accredited school. “EIT” is an acronym that stands for Engineer-in-Training. This designation is often referred to as “EIT certification,” but it can be used interchangeably with “EIT license” or “EIT FE certification.”
