Field Services Engineer

Position Overview:

Hanwha Power Systems America is a one of the fastest growing companies in the turbo machinery industry. As a total energy solution provider, Hanwha Power Systems is expanding their business globally pursuing its world-leading technology and commitment to quality.

We are looking for a highly motivated Aftermarket Field Service Engineer to support all services activities associated with aftermarket business in the North & South American regions for turbomachinery/centrifugal compressor. This position directly reports to the After Market Manager of HPSA.


Responsibilities:

  • on-site installation of equipment and systems and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation
  • to requests for troubleshooting, emergency repairs and services to customer equipment, redirecting request promptly when appropriate
  • technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites
  • administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely and thorough basis
  • customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
  • strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within Hanwha safety standards
  • individuals supporting field activities are qualified, providing training, and helping create training programs as necessary
  • continuous improvement efforts focused on improving reliability and customer value


Requirements:

  • degree preferably in engineering
  • years of experience in field services role, integrally geared compressor business
  • working experience in the North & South American regions
  • ability to understand Air Separation and API business and project management
  • to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (internal/external), including communication with headquarters
  • to work in a fast paced environment, highly-motivated, ability to work under pressure within a team environment, good communication skills, professional attitude, willingness to travel extensively
