Field Services Engineer

Our client, Plastic Systems (a subsidiary of Pegaso Industries in Italy) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our team.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to customers in the field (primarily east coast United States). This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in electrical systems, mechanical engineering, and firmware.

Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical or technical systems and equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical or technical systems, using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Conduct system design and integration activities, ensuring compatibility with customer requirements
• Evaluate and resolve problems for the customer
• Assist in installing equipment; analyze, inspect and review findings to determine the best solution
• Work alongside technical sales engineers
• Provide training to customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment
• Document all service activities, including repairs, installations, and customer interactions

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in a technical field (mechanical, electrical or similar)
• 2+ years experience in a similar
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools
• Proficiency in data analysis and system modeling
• Familiarity with schematics and other technical documentation
• Forklift certification a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
