The Job:
This position will work directly under the Supervisor of Field Service. The Field Service Technician I/II will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and support to our customer and end users.
Who we are looking for:
At FCI, we are searching for an experienced Field Service Technician I or II who is efficient at performing repair services and can demonstrate effective communication for our customers. While there may be periods of constant move on the field, we are looking for an individual who is able to complete repairs with little to no guidance and supervision.

Here are some examples of day-to-day duties:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, test, and calibrate industrial instrumentation at customer site. Start-up and commission industrial instrumentation at customer site
- Handle both routines, daily technical support calls and emails concerning post sale product support. Document call as needed
- Troubleshoot and maintain instruments that interface to control systems including DCS, PLC's, MMI, SCADA and other industrial field control devices, pressure transmitters, thermocouple, etc
- Perform calibration and input operating parameters and specifications as defined by plant specifications, management, and/or engineers
- Document field service customer site visits via Field Service Reports
- Train FCI personnel, customers, and Sales Representatives regarding the installation, integration, configuration, service, and usage of FCI industrial instrumentation
- Proficient with HART, Profibus, Modbus communications
- High school diploma or GED. PreferredAssociate of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering orrelevant experience
- At least 1 to 5years of work experience in commercial or military setting.
- Must possess a valid drivers license, a good driving record which is acceptable tothe company's auto insurance carrier, and a valid U.S. Passport for international travel
- Experience in fluid dynamic processes are a plus
- Up to 60% travel; mostly domestic but occasional international
- This position will require extensive periods of sitting and using a computer to generate service reports. During field service trips, you may also be required to have extended periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50lbs., gripping, wrenching, and twisting. You may be required to climb ladders, use man-lifts and climb aloft harnesses up to 300 feet, travel through confinement spaces such as tunnels and tubes, in addition to working near or onsite a nuclear plant
