We’re growing our business in Chicago and throughout Illinois. Teq cultivates a supportive environment where there is no competition with other sales team members. As a Field Product Specialist & Account Executive, you will work as a team with your Senior Account Executive. Teq provides training and tools that enable you to ‘own’ your business and become the go-to expert. You’ll deliver hands-on demonstrations of products/services and become a trusted consultant for K-12 schools throughout Illinois.
What You’ll Do
In the first week...
Learn Teq’s product and service offerings; practice sales techniques
Learn systems including our CRM, automated phone system, etc.
Meet with different Teq departments and other sales reps to understand customer interactions and how to leverage Teq resources
In the first month...
Continue to develop expertise on Teq products and services through in-depth training and observing sales calls to see how our solutions are pitched
Work with your team to develop product and service demonstrations that speak to the specific needs of the Chicago and Illinois school communities including funding sources
Learn to accurately log/update progress and collaborate on strategic territory plans
Begin making outbound calls to drive sales and demonstrations
Second month and beyond...
Travel throughout Illinois to set-up and demonstrate equipment to school communities with a goal of 5+ customer-facing visits per week.
Continue cultivating relationships to manage pipeline and grow revenue
Customize product demonstrations for the customer and audience
Leverage supporting departments to identify additional product/service needs
Participate in on-going educational and training opportunities
What You’ll Bring To The Table
Reside in Illinois (preferably within an hour of Chicago) with the ability to travel 70% of the time throughout your territory
Ambition to begin or continue a sales career; self-motivated and driven
Strong communication skills; ability to build and maintain relationships both over the phone and in-person
Collaborative and reliable with a robust work ethic and sense of accountability
Coachable, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
An open mind, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for learning
Previous experience in education, education sales, or technology sales preferred
A college or university degree preferred

$70,000 base salary PLUS uncapped commission
