About the job:

As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for making presentations, leading the discovery process about our customers’ needs, and leveraging objections to grow your territory sales. This includes building and maintaining relationships with our existing customers as well as prospecting your territory to find new growth opportunities. You will be responsible for meeting our customers face to face in your territory daily, whether that be in a local coffee shop, a shared meeting workspace, or in their physical store.

Top performers will be able to create and execute a sales plan that is geared toward your customers. You must be well versed in driving profitable sales growth by actively engaging with customers to understand their needs and challenges, identify areas of success, address concerns, and discover their preferences. Additionally, this involves telling a holistic story and promoting product sell through as you present our products and close deals. You will be joining a highly collaborative team who will provide resources and tools to support the growth of your territory.

Please note: You will be responsible for traveling daily to customers in your market with occasional overnight trips depending on location in your territory.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare for presentations
  • Practice a discovery process to identify customers’ business needs
  • Advise customers on the best solutions and answer objections (make presentations)
  • Collaborate with sales management and other sales team members to develop and execute the sales plan for new and existing customers
  • Create, build, and maintain strong relationships with customers in your territory to grow The Duck Company’s presence and increase revenue
  • Createand submitsales orders
  • Use creative and persistent methods to prospect and generate new business opportunities
  • Visit customer’s stores daily
  • Travel to Denver for company events, up to monthly
  • Lead or participate in tradeshows
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

What you bring:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the apparel industry
  • Competitive spirit with a strong will to win
  • High level of coachability
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal set of sales process standards
  • History of success
  • Comfort in conflict
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to drive business development, sales pipelines, and close the sale
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite and HubSpot (or similar CRM)

Salary Range: Earning potential of $80,000-$120,000+, no cap on commission.

  • Base Salary of $60,000 dependent upon non-discriminatory factors such as experience
  • Large commission opportunity, no cap
    • Start with established current accounts
    • Commission paid on each written sale
    • Monthly and quarterly bonus commission potential
