Seeking a Field Engineer for critical on-site tasks in upstream Oil & Gas facilities. Responsibilities include field equipment walkdowns, P&ID verification, data capture, and reporting. Emphasis on safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Field Equipment Walkdown:
Conduct field walkdowns, verify P&ID against as-is conditions, and mark up documents.
Capture equipment photos and data using inspection applications.
Perform lifting of equipment up to 30 lbs.
Reporting and Documentation:
Submit daily field reports.
Drive and maintain a company-provided 4x4 vehicle, including off-road driving.
Submit expenses through the online system.
Safety and Professional Conduct:
Follow safety practices and protocols.
Stay overnight outside of Midland if needed.
Rent a 4x4 vehicle if a company vehicle is unavailable.
Maintain professional conduct and follow Coordinator’s instructions.
Skills Required
Read, interpret, modify, and create P&ID, PFD, Isometrics, and other engineering documents.
Perform plant walk-downs, create red/blue line markups, and sketch drawings from scratch.
Collect equipment details and coordinate with the India office for AutoCAD conversion.
Incorporate red-line markups into AutoCAD drawings.
Knowledge of design, drafting techniques, CAD/Graphics, and safety procedures.
Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Teams, and MS-Office tools.
Configure necessary applications on personal devices.
Use company portals for claim submission, timesheet entry, and attendance markings.
Consistent reporting of daily field activities.
Plan weekly field activities, prepare work and QA/QC checklists.
Work independently and collaboratively with team members and customers.
Effectively present information and respond to questions in meetings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education And Experience
High school diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience, or
Engineer/Diploma in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.
2-5 years of relevant experience, not exceeding 15 years.
Preferred knowledge of upstream Oil & Gas fields.
