Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

We offer expertise in the general areas of geotechnical consulting, remediation services, risk assessment, acquisition due diligence, environmental compliance, and litigation support. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct foundation bearing checks, assisting with sub-divisions being built, infiltration testing and reports, writing section of geotechnical reports, site inspection of shoring designs, running atterburg limits and moistures samples for geotechnical reports.

  • Additional duties may include design and manage projects related to civil engineering including site planning, stormwater management, site remediation, and erosion and sediment control
  • Projects include: Single and multi-family geotechnical reports, Sub-divisions as large as 500 lots, Commercial and Industrial development site work, Highway retaining walls, Sub consultant on TRIMET’s Portland to Milwaukee Light Rail – East Side Design
  • Additionally, the candidate will need to create RFIs (Request for Information) and coordinate with other departments to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Perform field investigations, develop plans, and prepare associated documents
  • Provide Construction Monitoring services in the field


Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering related field
  • Possession of a valid EIT (Engineer in Training) certificate or willingness to get certified within 6 months
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule and participate in long field days at remote locations
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Hold a valid drivers license and willingness to work in both Oregon and Washington
