Federal Quality Control Manager

About the Role:

As the Field Quality Control Manager you will be responsible for developing, administering, and leading the overall construction field quality program for the organization. This will include maintaining a company wide field quality process, as well as integrating and coordinating the quality plans of individual projects throughout the organization. The Field Quality Control Manager will be charged with recruiting, training, and leading project quality control managers at project sites throughout the continental US and abroad. The Field Quality Control Manager will interface with Lead Program/Project Managers, Regional engineering health & safety Managers, Project/Site Managers, Project/Site Quality Control Managers, and with customer representatives. The Field Quality Control Manager will have direct channel reporting to senior leadership and Corporate Quality. As the Field Quality Control Manager, you will travel extensively between project sites to ensure that consistent quality management practices are being executed throughout the organization.

TRAVEL:

35% to 40% (1-2 weeks per month) 90% domestic and 10% international

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering/construction related field or Associate's with 15 years of experience
• Minimum ten (10) years on-the-job quality experience with specific commercial medium and low voltage electrical, facility level MEP and PV experience.
• Strong understanding of UFC, UFGS, NFPA and other industry standard technical requirements
• Capable of reading and interpreting building plans and specifications.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
• Ability to present a professional and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities; works well in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Outlook, Excel and Word
• Construction Quality Management for Contractors CQM-C Certification (or test for it within 30 days of employment)
