Position Summary

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking for a creative, innovative, and detail-oriented video Feature Editor to work collaboratively with the Feature, Social, PR, Corporate Sales and Marketing teams to create engaging video content. This role will be responsible for editing video features and highlights for distribution on the Philadelphia Eagles social and digital platforms, with an emphasis with on participating in current trends and quick delivery of finished edits. This role will collaborate with video producers to create dynamic content, focused primarily on long-form editing for consumption on YouTube, but will also contribute to other Philadelphia Eagles platforms, occasionally editing for short-form social media, television broadcasts, and stadium game presentation production.

Reporting Relationships

The Feature Editor will report to the Director of Feature & Creative Production.

Position Responsibilities

  • Edit long-form and short-form content in a variety of styles, from documentary and vlog style programming to high energy highlights.
  • Work with producers to craft compelling narratives and stories using imaginative editing, music, and graphics.
  • Edit features that tell stories of organizational initiatives and include current and former Eagles players and coaches, Eagles fans, celebrities, influencers, and more
  • Collaborate with production team on content development, consistently generating creative ideas
  • Execute content that participates in social trends to be posted at key moments throughout the calendar year including player milestones, transactions, and major events
  • Balance efficiency with quality, delivering projects that maximize engagement in a timely fashion
  • Work with corporate partnership team to build engaging content that fulfills contractual elements
  • Ensure all delivered content adopts industry best practices for video and audio quality standards

Qualifications

Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and experience of video editing in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Must submit a portfolio reel demonstrating examples of editing
  • Strong understanding of editing content for YouTube
  • Team player and collaborator who maintains composure in high pressure situations
  • Demonstrates strong character-driven storytelling skills and high attention to detail
  • Understanding of production best practices for delivery on social and digital platforms
  • Self-driven and willing to learn, accepting feedback as a critical part of growth
  • Exercises independent judgement while collaborating with other team members
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred:

  • 4 years of experience editing
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for football
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with finding footage using asset management systems
