Fashion Production Intern

KZ_K Studio is a modern, design driven collection. KZ_K features convertible and multi-functional pieces with exacting details and focus, to create an atelier experience with each and every client. The intern for KZ_K would assist the Production Team with the product development process in all aspects of producing the main collection cycles and development required to take a sample to a sales ready piece. This internship would allow hands on experience within the design studio and garment district with sourcing fabric and trims, working in the sample factories and understand standards for luxury tailored garments with quality control requirements.

Requirements:

Product development or production background. Current students or recent grads with major in Fashion are welcome.

Responsibilities:

• Quality controlling garments in the collection
• Communicating with factories during both the product development and production phase
• Maintaining the production schedule by sourcing trims, materials and fabrics
• Assisting Production Manager with special projects

Intern should:

• Should be detail oriented and be passionate about developing and producing luxury, design driven collections

• Demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency, effectively balancing multiple requests and tasks

• Work as a team player and identify when somebody in the team needs support

• Effectively communicate with every team using all methods of internal communication

• Respond positively to constructive feedback & always seeing it as an opportunity to grow

Ideal Intern has:

• Technical, fashion production experience
• Has pattern-making, technical design or product development knowledge
• Well versed understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, illustrator)
• Well versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Transportation paid by the company (min. 3-4 days a week)

Job type: Unpaid Internship- Daily lunch and transportation are compensated. College credit is also possible.
