Family Support Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to assess family needs.
• Evaluate situations using discretion and personal judgment to adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organizes facts and present them effectively.
• Ability to use discretion and independent judgment to interpret and implement policies regarding family plans and advocacy.
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, consumers and the public.
• Responsible for billing documentation- to be completed on a daily .
• Responsible to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding consumer information.
• Responsible to participate in mandatory trainings such as CAPE and CPR, etc.
• Effectively organize and plan field work schedule to best service and maximize the needs of clients.
• All other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge and understanding of developmental stages
• Basic knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Core competencies in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Must complete the SOC Wraparound 101 training.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
