WHAT WE DO The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first program of it's kind in the Kansas City area that provides the community immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, the BHUCC team provides care to clients every day of the week, including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the client's and community's needs. At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities: Provides assistance to parents/families of children with serious mental illness. Demonstrates culturally competent respect for all clients, guests and staff through verbal and non-verbal behaviors and assists them as needed. Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team (including case managers and mental health clinicians) to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care. Will be required to work some evenings to assure that the necessary supports are in place for the client's success. Safeguards Protected Health Information (written and electronically) and maintains confidentiality. This may include providing written documentation, scanning and/or uploading records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This may also include requesting and/or releasing client information or medical records. Qualifications We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Family Support Provider. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with Rediscover: Availability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours a week), 11am-7:30pm Monday-Friday High School Diploma or GED. Must have Family Support Provider credentialing through the Missouri Credentialing Board within allotted time determined by the program. Missouri resident for at least two years. Must be a parent/family member of a child who has been or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder and has received Mental Health Services. A valid automobile operator's license is required and must carry all appropriate insurance on the vehicle being driven, necessary to comply with Missouri or Kansas State Law. Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
