Internship Overview

We are offering a credit-based internship opportunity for a Sales Intern who will provide administrative support across ABRAMS’ domestic trade, domestic special sales, and international sales divisions. Interns will be invited to attend weekly Sales department discussions as well as sit in on occasional inter-departmental meetings focusing on marketing & publicity, production, editorial acquisitions, and seasonal title launches. This internship is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about domestic and international book sales as well as gaining an introduction to the world of book publishing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare for sales conferences and trade shows.
  • Retrieve, verify, and organize title metadata from various internal databases, including TMM title management.
  • Update Abrams title information in seasonal Edelweiss catalogs.
  • Collect title materials and organize PowerPoint slides for various account managers.
  • Research and execute mailing lists for prospective accounts.
  • Place sample orders, track POs, run inventory reports, and reserve stock.

Qualifications

  • The ability to navigate new systems and databases with ease.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (Mac, PowerPoint, Excel, design software, foreign language, etc.)
