Facility Security Officer

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO), for our Huntsville, AL location. The successful candidate will serve as FSO managing and executing all required aspects of facilities security to include personnel security clearance processing, indoctrination, and ongoing security education including reviewing and submitting clearance requests, reinstatements, and periodic reinvestigations

Role And Responsibilities

• Manages corporate compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)
• Verifies security clearance status for visitors and potential new employees, subcontractors, and consultants
• Establish and oversee visitor control program including processing incoming and outgoing visit requests and classified meeting coordination and oversight as required
• Prepares visit requests for access to job site based on appropriate clearance and need to know
• Provides all security-related briefings and training as required by NISPOM and customers
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable corporate, government agency and customer security requirements
• Provide proposal support to include writing security component of proposals
• Uses DISS for personnel security administration
• Provides classification guidance applicable to contract performance
• Conduct self-inspections and review core security processes for compliance
• Administer badging and access requirements for the facility
• Manage alarm system
• Document foreign travel by personnel and provide defensive briefings prior to travel, as required
• Document and report adverse information, change in personnel status, and other reporting requirements through appropriate channels
• Oversees all corporate International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) activities
• Responsible for the DCSA security audit
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements


Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ year's related experience including security program management experience; or 8+ years of direct related experience in lieu of a degree
• Candidate must have experience with facilities security, facility clearances, employee clearances, and providing oversight for classified projects and resources
• Candidate must have DoD level FSO experience and functional knowledge, and extensive experience of government network security
• Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Experience with database functions, including DISS and eQIP
• Basic Knowledge of SCI and COMSEC programs, NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs, and other government security directives
• Must be a reliable self-starter and able to work well with minimal supervision to manage complex tasks
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
