Facility Coordinator

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facility/Tool Room Coordinator to join our

aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. As the Tool Room Coordinator you

will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the tool room, ensuring the efficient

management, maintenance, and distribution of specialized tools and equipment used in

aerospace maintenance activities. Your role will be crucial in supporting the MRO operations by

providing the technicians with well-maintained, calibrated, and organized tools and equipment,

contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Tool Room Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tool room, ensuring tools and equipment are

properly organized, tracked, and maintained.

  • Maintain processes for tool check-out, check-in, and inventory control to optimize tool

availability and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain records of tool usage, calibration schedules, repairs, and replacements
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure an adequate supply of tools

while maintaining cost-effective practices.

  • Coordinate with external calibration services and vendors to ensure timely and accurate

calibration of tools.

  • Schedule and perform routine inspections of tools, initiating repairs or replacements as

necessary to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Collaborate with the procurement and engineering teams to source new tools and

equipment, considering quality, compatibility, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Perform quality checks on incoming tools, verifying compliance with specifications and

industry standards.

  • Maintain a system for documenting tool certifications and product information
  • Identify opportunities to improve toolroom processes, such as implementing efficient

tool tracking systems and enhancing organization methods.

  • Schedule and perform routine inspections and maintenance of facility equipment and tooling. Initiates repairs or

replacement as necessary to maintain high-quality standards

  • Monitor and comply with company shelf life policy
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize tool layouts and accessibility within the MRO facility


Requirements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Be able to work with minimal supervision with good decision-making skills.
  • Enjoy taking ownership of projects and issues, working hands on to accomplish tasks.
  • Be able to learn new information, skills, and ideas to complete projects and tasks as required.
  • The ability to understand and follow instructions and the ability to concentrate is required
  • Requires the ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time and the ability to follow through on all tasks assigned
  • The ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
  • Regular attendance at the worksite.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • High School Diploma or G.E,D equivalent
