What you will be doing:

As a Facilities Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to facility upkeep, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist Maintenance on Manufacturing Equipment breakdowns as needed.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and address issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks and basic repairs to building structures and fixtures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including equipment rooms, storage areas, and maintenance shops.
  • Assist with routine planned maintenance on the Mixers, Extruders, Continuous oven, carton box formers/sealers and other finishing machines.
  • Participate in safety training programs and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education And Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.


Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Prior experience in Facility maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for facility maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
  • Computer proficiency with email and with Microsoft office suite.
  • Forklift driving capabilities.


Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 55 lbs.
  • Use fingers, hands, arms, and legs to lift, reach, push and pull. Will stand, walk, stoop, and kneel.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heat, and moderate noise.
