Responsible for the support of all facilities including disaster recovery and EHS activities. Coordinating all janitorial, facilities supply and building modifications. Responsible for effective support systems (badge, lockers, clean room systems, ordering clean room support and facility supply materials, hazardous materials handling, proper waste disposal/recyclable materials and emergency response.


KEY DUTIES


  • Oversee outside services staff and or contractors, (e.g. direct daily activities, recommendations for hiring, performance management, performance documentation, separation when necessary)
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate all facilities systems and equipment (access / alarm systems, HVAC, furniture, etc.)
  • Coordinate facilities and EHS team and contractor work to ensure the facility is managed in a safe and effective manner.
  • Coordinate between manufacturing operations and contractor for required certification and maintenance schedule.
  • Monitor and assist renewal of operations required certifications.
  • Coordinate disaster recovery for entire facility including clean room.
  • Ensure facilities compliance to all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including OSHA, FDA, ISO 13485, local building code, etc.
  • Coordinate construction projects, facility build outs and electrical modifications.
  • Co-coordinate and/or conduct all environmental health and safety training, including First responder Training, emergency evacuation, safety plan, hurricane preparations, hazardous waste, etc.)
  • Oversee handling of all hazardous chemicals/waste including storage, transportation, disposal, and SDS’s.
  • Facilitate training enrolment of all warehouse associate and facility day work custodian for DOT Hazmat General Awareness certification.
  • Maintain the facility interior/exterior in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Develop EHS objectives and ensure compliance/execution.
  • Ensure proper scheduled maintenance for safety/security and support systems.
  • Develop support alliance with service providers for major mechanical systems.
  • Respond to emergency facilities situations (e.g. power outage, broken water line, security breach, etc.) on a 24-hour basis.
  • Regularly recommend and implement improvements in the Facilities department.
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies, and procedures, quality system regulations (21CFR820, ISO 13485).


DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY


REQUIREMENTS

  • Ensure compliance with all quality systems regulatory requirements such as, but not limited to, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, MDSAP, MDD (93/42/EEC) and MDR (EU 2017/745)
  • Responsible for addressing issues within the QMS without undue delay as evidenced by on time completion of actions on the Single Action Tracker (SAT)


EH&S REQUIREMENTS



  • Create a safety culture and safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety regulatory requirements.
  • Provide recourse to meet Environmental Health and Safety goals.
  • Maintain defined organization Environmental Health and Safety competencies.
  • Ensure related Risk Assessments are completed, accidents raised and action hazards.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE


  • Able to handle multiple projects at one time effectively. Excellent customer service attitude and good interpersonal skills required. Must be available to work overtime and respond to on-call requests as required to meet business needs.
  • Good verbal/written communications, fluent in English Language, strong customer relations, maintenance (technical), strong interpersonal communication, self-managed performance, understanding blueprints/documents, team player able to work with multifaceted team. Knowledge of Word and Excel to perform basic word processing and inventory spreadsheet reports. SAP knowledge/skills a plus.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and bending. Lifting to 25 lbs.
  • Able to work overtime.
  • Able to handle closed containers of adhesives and chemicals.
  • Minimum of three years college for technical school, diploma/equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of four years related work experience.
  • Sound experience with Cleanroom operation’s environment.
  • Sound understanding of air conditioning system and principle related to control of Temperature and humidity of controlled environment operation.
