  • Salary Range - $68,000 to $83,000 with DAWSON's full range of benefits including Med, Dental, PTO etc.
  • Location: Position located within commuting distance of US Navy installations in Kitsap County.

Candidates should possess time management skills; should be capable of working in a team or independently as required; and be a “self-starter”. This job involves outdoor manual labor in all weather conditions. The candidate may be required to walk over uneven terrain up to 8 hours a day and carry tools and equipment routinely up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds.

The successful applicant will be required to pass a government background investigation and will receive a Common Access Card allowing access to military installations.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • The primary responsibility of the Service/Refurbishment Technician is to perform inspections and testing following a checklist, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs of lighting, HVAC, powered door, and other industrial systems. Inspections occur weekly and quarterly. Service calls requiring emergency repairs may necessitate additional work at any time (24/7/365). The Refurbishment duties will involve the removal of equipment and materials and then installation of new equipment and new materials. See “Additional Details” for further information.
  • Secondary duties include maintaining inventories of tools and spare parts and performing tool maintenance.
  • Responsible for interpreting system trends and conditions and reporting trends and conditions.
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving skills while working on several projects or issues simultaneously, maintaining a positive working atmosphere and a client-centered focus.
  • Assist in the development of cost estimates or technical approaches for proposals.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills (required)

  • Three to 10 years of experience conducting similar maintenance and repair activities.
  • Strong background in electronics and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, etc.).
  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be capable of accessing DoD properties based upon a background check.
  • Must have a clean driving record and capable of driving a work vehicle.

Qualifications/Experience (Preferred)

  • Current OSHA safety training.
  • Current CPR/First Aid.
  • Licensed Electrician

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is required. The candidate may have the opportunity to travel nationwide to support other projects if desired.
