The Facilities Director will oversee Direct Support Services including Security, Facilities/Plant Operations, Biomedical Engineering, and Environmental Services. The role involves planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the management functions of the assigned departments. Key responsibilities include:
Planning, designing, constructing, altering, operating, and maintaining facilities and equipment.
Implementing goals, objectives, and standards of performance.
Developing and maintaining operating policies and procedures.
Interpreting policies, standards, regulations, and codes as necessary.
Position Qualifications:
Education:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in engineering, business administration, economics, or a related field is required.
A combination of education and healthcare management experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Certification in materials management and/or Facilities Management by a professional society is desirable.
Experience:
A minimum of five years’ experience in Healthcare Management is required.
Survey preparation experience is desirable.
Licenses/Certificates:
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) and Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) are highly desirable.
