Job Summary of the Fabrication & Assembly Worker: Works with members of the fabrication team to provide fabricated components to the assembly areas in a timely manner. Primarily will operate the CNC laser, waterjet, and brake press; however, other fabrication responsibilities will apply.
Job Responsibilities of the Fabrication & Assembly Worker :
Required to effectively operate the machines in the fabrication department
Individuals must be accurate in recording inventory transactions and labor times
Understanding where to find information, such as inventory levels, in SAP is necessary
Internal motivation to see the successful implementation of laser, waterjet, and brake press
MIG/TIG Welding/Certification
Continuously looking for opportunities to fabricate items more efficiently and documenting the savings
Requirements
Education & Experience of the Fabrication & Assembly Worker:
Have a minimum of 2 -5 years of experience in a fabrication and job shop environment
Have experience operating the following machines; auto saw, shear, ironworker, press brake, CNC plasma table, laser jet, water jet, tube bender
Would prefer to have someone with programming and layout experience with CNC nesting software
Must be able to read blueprints
