POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking Fabrication and Assembly Specialists with education and experience in construction, assembly, and test of antennas and antenna systems. This role involves working with a variety of materials and equipment to produce high-quality antennas that meet design specifications and performance requirements. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to ensure efficient production processes and timely delivery of antenna products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with Mechanical and RF Engineers to fabricate antenna components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble antenna structures and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished antennas meet quality standards and performance criteria.
  • Test assembled antennas for functionality, RF performance criteria.
  • Troubleshoot and repair antennas that fail to meet specifications, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and test results.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of fabrication and assembly processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on design changes and manufacturability considerations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures in all fabrication and assembly activities.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on new technologies and techniques in antenna fabrication.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with a variety of materials and fabrication techniques commonly used in antenna production.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other fabrication tools such as vacuum ovens, machine shop, and paint equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in antenna fabrication and assembly.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance. Active clearance is preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
