The company is currently hiring a Bartender.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional service to guests by promptly welcoming and courteously serving guests in a can-do fashion, engaging in polite conversation when time allow.
Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department.
Responsible for stocking station and completing pre and post job duties as outlined by management.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age
Take orders from serving staff or directly from customers.
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with standard recipes
Up-sell drink orders
Maintain complete knowledge of Point-of-Sales (POS) systems
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
Assist with setup and break down of food and beverage items within the restaurant and event spaces
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic mathematical skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.
Strong working knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails.
Willing to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
Ability to think clearly, can remain calm, and solve problems using good judgment
1+ years of bartending experience preferable in hospitality
High School or equivalent preferred
One must be a minimum of 20 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages to hotel guest per KY Liquor Law
