Position Summary

BGI is seeking a part-time F-16 Instructor Pilot to periodically deploy to international locations where the F-16 is employed. Duties include providing training to International F-16 pilots in flight procedures, emergency procedures and tactical employment techniques. Candidate acts as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in the area of aviation and provides assistance in creation of training material and mission scenarios. Candidate advises on the administration of flight operations including the preparation of schedules, training plans, flight supervision and required documentation. Candidate would be expected to deploy to an International location for 2-3 months before rotating back to the US for a similar period of time. Job is expected to begin in the Fall of 2024.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality aircrew training device operation, accomplish applicable mission objectives and requirements, and adhere to published local standards
  • Maintain F-16 weapons system expertise
  • Evaluate and record pilot performance of mission conduct
  • Conduct academic or training device instruction when required
  • Advise on the conduct of F-16 flight operations, supervision and flight safety
  • Support aircrew training device scenario design and programming efforts when directed by the Lead Instructor
  • Conduct flight briefings and debriefings for pilot missions utilizing the F-16 training device.
  • Review monthly/quarterly flying literature, safety reports and service publications for updated information to be incorporated into training materials
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Site Director or applicable manager

Required And/or Preferred Qualifications

Education, Credential Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

Experience:

  • Operational Instructor Pilot (IP) experience (required)
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years as a fighter pilot in a fourth or fifth generation fighter aircraft
  • International pilot experience desired
  • F-16 Weapons School graduate desired
