The Extract lab technician must be able to correctly identify measure and mix ingredients in a collaborative, quiet environment. After 90 days the technician should be able to work independently with minimal guidance, servicing their assigned hubs. A good communication skill with co-workers is essentials.

Required Skills
Follows USP 797wears gloves, face shield or glasses and face mask, lab jacket, and hair covering
Able to utilize a syringe/needle to draw up allergens and place in vials
Able to work with various products to create patch panels
Computer literacy with Microsoft products
High school graduate, prefer AS/BA/BS in the life sciences or equivalent experience
Ability to pass a written test on aseptic technique and extract preparation within 60 days
Ability to be trained in the proper mixing and preparation of allergenic products and displays competency with mixing in 6-12 weeks
Annually pass a media-fill test, as described in Addendum A in Table 9.1.
Demonstrate understanding of antiseptic hand cleaning and surface disinfection
Correctly identify, measure and mix antigens

The Extract Lab Technician will be flexible and be a team player to help accomplish the work involved daily, weekly and monthly at the lab.
Professional and courteous with phone calls with physicians and staff from the hubs and with interactions with other staff members in the lab
Other duties as assigned.
Completes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.
Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violations to a Supervisor/Manager/Director, Department of Compliance & Privacy or via the AP EthicsPoint hotline.
This job requires the following;
Clean, appropriate scrubs, gloves, face shield, masks, and lab jacket. Compounding personnel wear hair covers, facial hair covers, and face masks/shields
May wear Allergy Partners logoed or plain t-shirts and plain scrub pants
Lab coat worn over scrubs, and buttoned
Compounding personnel perform antiseptic hand cleansing with an alcohol-based surgical hand scrub with persistent activity.
