Job Details

We seek a dynamic and experienced Permanent External Wholesaler to join our team. This role will cover territory in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeastern regions. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong background in the investment industry, possessing a solid book of business and a proven track record of managing territories effectively. This position will require frequent travel to firm conferences and industry trade shows, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to grow and maintain your territory.
  • Leverage your existing Rolodex of contacts to build and strengthen relationships with financial advisors, broker-dealers, and other potential clients.
  • Act as a liaison between accounts and our firm, ensuring seamless communication and prompt resolution of any issues.
  • Travel to firm conferences, industry trade shows, and client meetings to promote our products and services.
  • Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitor offerings, and client needs to inform business strategy and product development.
  • Utilize our CRM system to track client interactions, sales opportunities, and other vital data.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to clients and potential clients, showcasing our product offerings and demonstrating their value.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and drive success.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the investment industry, specifically in a wholesaler role or similar.
  • Proven experience managing a territory and growing a book of business.
  • An existing Rolodex of contacts in the investment industry.
  • Exceptional phone skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to analyze market trends and competitor offerings.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to firm conferences, industry trade shows, and client meetings.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to persuade and influence.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • NASD Series 7 and/or 22 and 63/66 Required
  • Clean U-4
