Job Summary

Seasonal Supervisors are responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all animal exhibits and Team Members. This position is accountable for delivering a superior guest experience, while enforcing all park policies and procedures.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Coordinating the daily operation of animal exhibits, and administering daily assignments for the team
• Achieving, receiving, and maintaining certifications on all animal exhibits
• Complying with and enforcing all aspects of the Operations training program, including the daily application and supervision of all training procedures, policies, and documentation
• Writing and updating a department schedule; assisting in specialized recruiting when appropriate
• Answering guest questions
• Motivating and interacting with Unit Supervisors and Team Members
• Coaching Unit Supervisors and Team Members to monitor efficiency standards and achieve optimum throughput on all rides
• Auditing the skills and performance of department Team Members and Unit Supervisors
• Coaching and developing Team Members on guest service, training, safety, and efficiency
• Overseeing the development of Unit Supervisors
• Completing and maintaining all formal documents and audit forms used on a daily basis in the department
• Enforcing all Six Flags Discovery Kingdom policies
• Assisting in other areas of the Explorer Guide Department
• Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Previous leadership experience
• Be available to work flexible hours at night, weekends and holidays
