Role Description

This is a full-time role located in Troy, MI. As an Experienced Criminal Legal Assistant at The Law Offices of Barton Morris, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to our criminal defense lawyers in all aspects of their work. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting research, preparing legal documents, scheduling meetings and court dates, managing case files, and communicating with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant in a criminal defense law firm
  • Knowledge of criminal law procedures and court systems
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
  • Proficiency in using legal software and technology
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
