Expanded Learning Program Instructor (Caliber Changemakers)

We are seeking committed and passionate expanded learning program instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our team at Caliber Changemakers in Vallejo, Ca. As a program instructor, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth in an expanded learning setting.   • Pay rate: $22 an hour
  • Paid BACR holidays
  • Hours a week: 22 hours, plus PD *Hours are Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-6pm , Friday 12pm-6pm*

Minimum Requirements

  • No experience required
  • Ability to reliably commute to Vallejo
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and TB test clearance
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment


Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students
  • Provide a safe environment
  • Be a positive role model for struggling students
  • Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school-day learning
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices
  • Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)

Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
