The National Safety Council seeks an accomplished leader to serve as Executive Vice President, Training. This pivotal role will shape the strategic growth and direction of our training division, positioning the National Safety Council as the foremost provider of safety training in the areas of Workplace, Roadway, and FirstAid across North America.

What You’ll Do:Visionary Leadership:
- Set overarching goals and foster a culture of excellence within the training business.
- Drive strategic vision in alignment with industry trends and corporate objectives.
- Identify market trends, assess competition, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop implementation strategies.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, promoting collaboration within the organization.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
- Explore and expand into new North American markets.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance training offerings.
- Strengthen relationships with training distributors and increase training volumes.
- Work with internal partners to solidify the National Safety Council's position in government safety training.
- Engage with key clients to understand evolving training needs.
- Ensure training solutions exceed client expectations.
- Integrate systems to drive organizational synergy.
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Drive high-value contracts and partnerships.
- Oversee financial aspects of the training business.
- Monitor performance and implement strategic financial plans.
- Foster innovation and expansion of training offerings.
- Ensure training programs remain cutting-edge and industry-leading.
- Establish the organization as a thought leader through industry participation.
- Position the organization at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- 15 years of relevant business experience.
- Minimum 5 years of general management and P&L responsibility.
- Proven leadership in product development.
- Track record of driving organizational growth and achieving business objectives.
- Deep knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) technology and marketplace.
- Learning modalities and evolving technology to support adult learning for business.
- Creative business models for training delivery and offerings.
- Understanding of training technology frameworks, e.g. SCORM.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-making abilities.
- Deep understanding of market trends and training landscape.
- This is a remote position.
- The salary range is $200,000 to $225,000 base with a growth incentive plan.
