Executive Producer

Job Description: KESQ News Channel 3, The Desert's News Leader in Coachella Valley, California, has an opening for an Executive Producer. The Executive Producer, under the guidance of the News leadership team of the News Director, Assistant News Director, and Assignment Manager, leads the daily news producing to align with brand, showcasing, and overall editorial goals. This person works with the news team to visualize the content in clear and engaging ways. The Executive Producer: Participates actively in both daily and long-range editorial planning to ensure the vision is executed. Coordinates and implements breaking news coverage. Produces newscasts. Works with and mentors MMJs to determine the most compelling way to present a story including demonstrative live shots. Helps refine and enhance storytelling on the broadcast and digital platforms. Script approval. Writes and posts news content to digital platforms. Coordinates coverage of major weather and other events. Generates hard news enterprise story ideas.
