Job Summary

We are seeking an Executive Director to join our Financing Solutions team at Standard Chartered Bank in New York. The successful candidate will be working with Regional Heads of different locations in Financing Solutions teams across the globe as well as other team members to drive origination, develop strong client relationships and be seen as an expert in Financing Solutions by internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will need to be able to build a team of Financing Solutions professionals, who will need to support origination and execution efforts, as well as leading the Financing Solutions origination efforts in Latin America. The candidate will further have to focus on building a sustainable business, developing and on-boarding new clients while focusing further on the business by up-tiering existing relationships. Working with client teams and across products to identify, target transactions and cross-sell opportunities in the region will be another task of the successful candidate.

We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Financing Solutions team, coverage and product partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and drive business success through improvement in client presentation and profitability in conjunction with the regional coverage partners.
  • Work closely with FS teams globally to originate and execute cross border opportunities – inbound into the US and outbound into the network.
  • Lead origination and structuring of transaction mandates for Financing Solutions in partnership with senior coverage bankers in Americas.
  • Build a team with strong origination, structuring and execution capabilities to support the exponential growth agenda for Financing Solutions in Americas.
  • Ensure transaction structures are in line with client requirements, market standards and the Bank’s internal risk parameters.
  • Oversee robust deal selection, conflict resolution and risk management to ensure the business is consistent with the strategy and risk appetite of the Bank.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and financial oversight of the business in the Americas.

Key Criteria

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in the structuring and origination areas.
  • Loan markets and lending products knowledge.
  • Knowledge of developing business and on-boarding new clients.
  • Financing Solutions origination experience in Latin America is a big plus.
  • Managing, identifying and targeting transactions and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Leading and building a new team experience.
  • Experience in tracking transaction structures as per the client requirements.
  • Business and risk management process knowledge.

Recruitment Assessments

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 256,000 USD to 320,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package. Discretionary variable pay and a range of attractive bank sponsored benefit programs are available and designed to foster employee overall health and well-being including, but not limited to, a best in class 401k plan with up to 8% employer match, robust medical plan coverage with employer funded Health Savings Accounts, inclusive family building benefits, and flexible/hybrid working arrangements for many of our positions subject to role specific considerations
