Position Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional Executive Director of Clinical Operations to join our leadership team. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in oncology clinical trials. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and management of our clinical operations, driving the success of our oncology programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic planning and execution of clinical operations for oncology trials.
Develop and implement clinical operational strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Oversee all aspects of clinical trial management, including protocol development, site selection, initiation, monitoring, and closeout.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA, ICH, and GCP guidelines.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including research, regulatory, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless trial execution.
Manage relationships with clinical research organizations (CROs), investigators, and other external partners.
Monitor trial progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the clinical operations team.
Prepare and present clinical updates to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in oncology clinical research.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, or a related field (Ph.D., MD, or equivalent preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in clinical operations, with a strong focus on oncology.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex oncology clinical trials.
Deep understanding of clinical trial design, implementation, and regulatory requirements in oncology.
Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
Willingness to work west coast hours at times.
