20th Television is looking for an assistant to support the VP and Executive Director in the Series department (formerly known as Current Programming). The series team oversees projects that are currently on the air across multiple broadcast and streaming platforms. They work closely with the showrunners, writers, producers, and directors as creative liaisons between the networks and the studio. The team is involved in every step of the creative process from script to screen.
This is a high volume, fast-paced desk, so the perfect candidate will: have superior organizational and communication skills; is highly motivated and detail-oriented; and can remain calm under pressure. Job responsibilities include standard assistant duties, team coordinating, and script coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative support to two executives, including: phone coverage/maintain phone log, coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, prepare expense reports, book travel, etc.
- Watch cuts and read incoming scripts to write loglines and log material.
- Create clip selections from dailies for internal viewing.
- Track incoming material and staffing submissions.
- Update grids with staff lists and production calendars.
- Collect information for timely internal memos.
- Be familiar with all department points of contact, as well as their counterparts as the Network or Streamer.
- Take notes on meetings and calls.
- Be aware of shifting priorities that will impact scheduling for hiring managers and other stakeholders.
- 1+ years of previous administrative assistant experience on a high-volume entertainment desk at a studio, network, management company, production company or talent agency.
- Sharp written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables.
- Able to present information in a confident, well-articulated, creative, and engaging manner.
- Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Complete reliability handling confidential information.
- Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail and a professional demeanor, positive outlook, and a can-do attitude.
- Proven ability to multitask and work independently with little direction and follow up, in a team environment, with changing priorities.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience interning as a studio or network.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
