Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator assists in the organization and execution of major events and programs in the Office of Evangelization & Catechesis. The major area of concentration is childhood, middle/high school youth, adult, and marriage & family ministry, where administrative assistance is essential. The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing participant registrations, communication, promotion, and participate follow-up of the various programs and events.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute events, including conferences, meetings, and social events
  • Provide administrative services in support of office programs and services
  • Manage financial records of the office
  • Participate in staff meetings and meetings with other offices as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful events
  • Manage event budgets and timelines
  • Create event marketing materials and promote events through various channels
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audio/visual equipment
  • Manage event registration and attendee communication
  • Provide on-site event support and troubleshoot issues as they arise


Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience as an event coordinator or similar role
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or related field preferred, high school diploma required
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Practicing Catholic with knowledge of Church practices preferred


Compensation And Benefits

This position is full-time in-person role based at the Mary Mother of the Church Pastoral Center in St. Francis. Frequent weekend and/or evening hours and travel throughout the archdiocese is required. The Archdiocese of Milwaukee offers a full range of benefits, including health, dental, vision, and a pension program. Tuition assistance for children of employees who attend Catholic school is also offered.
