We are seeking an Event Strategist to join our events team. In this role, the Junior Event Strategist will support the Global Event Strategy Team with various strategy, research, planning and support projects.


The ideal candidate is someone who is skilled in event operation skills and strategy.


This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits for a remote worker within the United States and Canada.


What you will do:

Fiscal Year Planning

  • Support Program Management team in the development of Event budgets for potential third-party events
  • Support financial modeling for Global Event team fiscal funding planning
  • Leverage multiple sources of data to create executive level custom PPT decks to support leadership discussions around our event marketing strategy and investments
  • Maintain a deep awareness of funding needs, resources, contingencies for all events in our Global Events portfolio, in order to be a team resource throughout the planning process and annual portfolio management


Global Event Contracts Management

  • Track all Global Event contracts that are signed or need to be signed
  • Advise Strategy team of upcoming sponsorship sales open dates
  • Update the records when contracts are signed; advise operations team of payment due dates
  • Final Spend analysis and evergreen documents
  • Work with Program Management team to extract financial details for completed events
  • Calculate and analyze data spend by categories and topics
  • Create presentations with findings


Event Research/Event Support

  • Create event briefs that evaluate events based on audience history, partner and competitor analysis, event theme and topics, as well as past and future participation details for the client at an event.
  • Manage the event brief calendar for the strategy team
  • Manage and conduct event research for database (EIT)
  • Create and maintain web site within SharePoint for all corporate marketing events
  • Manage all calendars that house information for the corporate marketing events
  • Coordinate with contacts in other Global Event teams to keep event list updated


What you bring:

  • 3-5 years marketing and/or operations experience in the high-tech industry ( Required)
  • Critical and strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Budgeting and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility in a fast paced, multi project environment
  • Marketing research experience
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills and Excel knowledge
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
