Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in event management
Proven experience in contract negotiation and budgeting
Education: Bachelor’s or associate’s degree is preferred

Job Description:
Source locations and properties for meetings and events
Request and negotiate property and vendor contracts
Submit contracts and accompanying purchase orders for approval and manage contract deadlines
Review and approve catering banquet event orders (BEOs) and prepare other instructional documents for vendors
Submit event project requests in the communications project management system
Develop marketing events and meeting timelines
Coordinate delivery of sponsor benefits related to event logistics, working with the registration coordinator
Confirm event vendors and oversee event set-up and break-down
Coordinate post-event activities including requests for outstanding invoices and event and speaker evaluation procedures
Track meeting and event income and expenses in Excel weekly
Project anticipated income and expenses and variances against the budget
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Webinar, project management software, and relational database systems
Previous experience working with a non-profit or member association, preferred
Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation
Excellent customer relationship and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assigned projects and tasks
Excellent skills
