Automotive Ethernet System Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished Ethernet Expert with a minimum of 7-10 years of experience to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive connectivity.

Experience: 7-10 years in Systems Engineering, with a focus on implementing Ethernet in automotive applications or related real-time control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ethernet Integration: Lead the design, development, and integration of Ethernet-based solutions into automotive systems, ensuring seamless communication and networking among various components.
  • System Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine system architecture, considering Ethernet communication protocols, network topologies, and data exchange requirements.
  • SOME/IP and DOIP Implementation: Utilize your expertise in automotive communication standards like SOME/IP (Scalable service-Oriented MiddlewarE over IP) and DOIP (Diagnostics Over Internet Protocol) to enable efficient and secure data exchange between in-vehicle ECUs.
  • Real-time Control Systems: Leverage your experience with real-time control systems, displays, and audio components to enhance the overall user experience in the automotive domain.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot complex challenges related to Ethernet implementation, communication latency, data synchronization, and quality of service.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop comprehensive test plans and conduct rigorous testing to validate the performance, reliability, and compliance of Ethernet-based systems in accordance with industry standards.
  • Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, interface requirements, and integration guidelines, to ensure seamless knowledge transfer and future development.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive system integration and effective collaboration across disciplines.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automotive networking technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the capabilities of our systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of 7-10 years in Systems Engineering, with a focus on Ethernet implementation in automotive applications or similar real-time control systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Ethernet communication protocols, network architectures, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in SOME/IP and DOIP standards, with hands-on experience in implementing these protocols in practical applications.
  • Strong experience with real-time control systems, displays, and audio components, with a keen understanding of the challenges in ensuring smooth synchronization and interaction.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations related to networking and communication, such as AUTOSAR.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in creating technical documentation and specifications.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies is a plus.
