An Estimator has workplace experience including exposure to production processes, construction/assembly knowledge, and familiarity with both raw and pre-fabricated materials.
This Estimator is tasked with pricing exercises that can overlap multiple lines of business as well as challenge the thinking process to solve technical and financial issues with the design. In addition, Estimators are expected to leverage their experience and knowledge to guide project team members towards cost-effective solutions.
Estimators will often collaborate with other Estimators to complete larger, more complex projects. An Estimator will have developed solid working relationships with Sales, Design, Production, and Pricing (Finance). They are expected to multi-task, prioritize their workload, and provide deliverables to both internal and external clients as per agreed-to expectations and timelines. They would be a self-starter.
