PURPOSE
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and bilingual education settings.
MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK, READ AND WRITE SPANISH AND ENGLISH FLUENTLY
Bilingual Assessment Will Be Required
Start date: August 29, 2024
Type: Classified
Hours per day: 7.75 hrs total (3 hrs, Perm / 4.75 hrs, Temp)
Number of days per year: 188
Status: Permanent / Temporary, until June 11, 2025
Hourly Range: $22.26 - $28.39
ESSA Documentation Required: Yes

What is ESSA?
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing and math.
