We are seeking a dedicated ESL Instructor to join our team, specializing in teaching Beginning or Intermediate Level ESL students. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Student Retention & Basic Skills Specialist to ensure comprehensive student support through meticulous record-keeping of academic progress, including test results, subject gains, and attendance. Your responsibilities will include:
Developing engaging lesson plans tailored to meet student needs.
Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress.
Responding to student inquiries via email and phone promptly.
Providing constructive feedback and grading assignments.
Creating course outlines and syllabi.
Collaborating consistently with the Student Retention & Basic Skills Specialist to align student goals with program opportunities.
As part of our commitment to flexibility and student success, this position offers teaching schedules primarily in the mornings and afternoons, with potential assignments in evenings and weekends based on student and community needs. Instructional delivery will utilize various modalities, including synchronous, hybrid, and remote methods via Zoom and other platforms.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in adult education or a related field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching English Language Learners (ELLs).
Proficiency in MS Office suite, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems.
Strong communication skills with culturally diverse and at-risk populations.
Willingness to cross-train for other teacher positions in the GED/ESL program.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or higher degree in ESL/TESOL, adult education, or related field.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Somali.
Adult Basic Education Authorization (ABEA) from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) or willingness to obtain it within three (3) years of hire.
Extensive experience in various instructional modalities to diverse student populations.

Salary And Benefits
Compensation: $31.06 - $33.76 per hour, based on education, skills, and experience. This position is not eligible for a benefits package.
Sick leave accrual per the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. No relocation assistance provided.
