Scott Humphrey has partnered with a leading provider of title insurance and escrow services in Houston, TX, looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Escrow Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Escrow Officer with the opening, processing, and closing of escrow files.
• Prepare and review escrow documents, including closing statements, deeds, and title commitments.
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders to gather required information and documents.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and other parties involved in the transaction promptly and professionally.
• Schedule and coordinate closing appointments.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company standards.
• Handle disbursement of funds in accordance with closing instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Escrow Officer.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in real estate, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in an escrow, title, or real estate environment preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of escrow procedures, real estate transactions, and title insurance is beneficial.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
