Job Summary
The Equipment Manager is responsible for and supervises the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities used by the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the equipment and facilities department.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities
Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities.
Act as the primary recipient of email and/or text messages for alarm notifications from automated equipment monitoring systems 24/7/365. Notify appropriate LBE personnel as necessary.
Act as front-line technical support for LBE personnel during cases in the event of equipment malfunctions 24/7/365.
Manage communication, scheduling, and providing access for vendors.
Obtain service reports and other relevant documentation from vendors.
Enter information into RAM and/or Trackwise in conjunction with LBE Quality personnel.
Monitor RAM and Trackwise for upcoming service requirements and plan accordingly.
Ensure that vendors adhere to contract requirements for service levels and frequency.
Communicate with vendors and LBE Accounting Departments to facilitate accurate and timely invoicing.
Communicate regularly with LBE Quality Assurance to ensure compliant service dates, frequencies, and activities.
Ensures assigned facilities and equipment are ready for regular business and special events.
Coordinates timely assessments of equipment failures and ensures timely and appropriate repair or replacement activities in conjunction with LBE personnel.
Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment.
Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of equipment.
Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
Collaborates with other appropriate management staff to prepare and implement the budget.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn the equipment and facilities to be maintained.
Ability to maintain basic records and warranties.
Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
