The Environmental Services Educator is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing Environmental Services education initiatives and formal training programs. They adhere to established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, utilizing adult learning principles and evidence-based practices to meet the educational needs of EVS team members. This role involves developing and delivering training sessions aligned with departmental objectives, assessing the effectiveness of education efforts, and contributing to enhancing human performance. The Environmental Services Educator demonstrates a solid understanding of Tampa General's Infection Prevention and Environmental Safety protocols and carries out their duties in alignment with the hospital's mission, vision, and values.
High School Diploma or GED
License/Registration - Issued by Florida or Compact State
Certified Health Care Environmental Services Technician (CHEST)
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on environmental services,
hospitality, or operations. Previous experience must include conducting training, teaching, and/or coordinating programs for adult learners. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English with clarity and precision is required.
