Duties
This position is located in the Division of Gas - Environment and Engineering in the Office of Energy Projects.
As EPS, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Studying a wide variety of environmental protection issues associated with construction and operation of natural gas pipelines, gas storage facilities, gas compression facilities, and LNG terminals, and proposes recommendations to avoid and mitigate impacts, with a focus on air quality and environmental noise impacts.
Preparing environmental assessments (EAs) and environmental impact statements (EISs) pursuant to National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and in accordance with the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure, and organizing the work of environmental consultants who assist staff in preparing NEPA analyses.
Coordinating, moderating, and making presentations at public scoping meetings, comment meetings, federal/state/local government meetings, meetings with interested stakeholder groups, and conferences.
